That's not an uncommon reaction. It's really hard to judge the show from just one episode as it's more of a slow-burning type of show. It can take while to get a handle on some characters and the plot can take some time to get moving and certain things can crop up that may not seem important at first, but the payoff is more than worth it. I think that you owe it to yourself to at least watch until the forth episode, "Old Cases". It has one of the most legendary scenes of the entire series and by that stage you will have indeed been introduced to Omar Little.

Ideally though, I think that you should try and watch the whole of the first season as it'll put you in a well-rounded and informed position as to whether or not you'll enjoy the rest of the series based on how it tells its story. You'll get a better handle on the characters by that stage and believe me when I say that there are many twists and turns along the way and moments that are tragic, moving and even hilarious. It's a show that definitely has the capacity to surprise and go against expectations. Fingers crossed that you'll keep with it for a little longer and you feel that it's worth your time

Beat me to it! Anyway, I also smiled today from getting some play time with Vanquish and even more smiles were had meeting with Jahanzeb Was fun wandering the streets afterwards and sharing some of our likes in gaming and other areas
